Brazil Says Amazon Destruction Declining

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (AP) -- The rate of destruction of the Amazon rain forest is slowing, although ranchers, loggers and soybean farmers are illegally removing thousands of square miles of trees each year, the Brazilian government said Tuesday.
