Sr. Environmental Manager Opportunity in Alberta, Canada - # Environmental #Energy #OHS #Job

Sr. Environmental Manager - large coal fired power plant Western Canada
Be key member of a plant turn around team on a 155 mw plant in Alberta, Canada. This position has oversight of OSHA, Alberta Environment and NERC/AESO regulations and how these regulations impact the workplace at the plant. Work closely with Corporate Environmental Director, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and Maintenance Managers to assist in all Environment, Safety and regulatory programs. Primarily focus will be to provide environmental support and guidance to power plant operations in the development and implementation of corporate and Station objectives and strategies for compliance with environmental regulations at the Station. Work has been started and I am told that local regulators are relieved that a new O&M group is starting to implement required procedures of what has been neglected in prior years.

This will be a strong career building position in that over the next 18-24 months the proactive EHS Manager can catch up in a doable EHS project.  This O&M company has earned an excellent reputation as a company dedicated to rejuvenating power projects in need of technical or economic remediation. They not only apply a broad spectrum of professional, creative and cost-effective owner and general management services to a wide array of project needs, they take on ownership positions in projects to provide restructuring alternatives.  They continue to expand their portfolio of power plants they operate across the US and Canada, which will offer many career advancement opportunities.

The compensation package range is robust, comprehensive, & well above average.
