US and Canada examine clean energy progress?

Answers? Unproven CCS? research? and gird lock?

Steven Chu and Jim Prentice, energy secretaries of the United States and Canada, likewise showed an action plan which the two countries may jointly execute in line with their green energy policies.

The plan involves three projects: collaboration on carbon capture and storage, development of a more efficient electricity grid based on renewable generation and drafting of a roadmap for clean energy research, development and deployment.

Both countries' ministers of energy presented the progress report on the clean energy dialogue to the heads of state on Wednesday. The United States and Canada also joined the international community on climate change mitigation, particularly through involvement with the pre-Copenhagen climate conference preparations.

Progress report? We have had wind, solar and 'plans' since the first oil embargo in the 70's. We are importing, wasting and subsidizing 'energy' at an all time high. There are 100's of viable options for the U.S. that can bring massive jobs and lead us out of a recession by building our own energy reserves that could remove trillions that our nation spends on foreign energy reserves within a decade. I 'missed' these ideas in the 'progress reports'.
