The Quality Environmental, Health and Safety (QuEHS) Director will carry out assigned Quality Management initiatives assisting in the preparation of plans and procedures, as well as implementing and supervising a Quality program in compliance with the Company’s Management System. This newly created position will provide oversight to the Quality system audits, corrective action; evaluate accuracy of equipment and testing, measurement and analytical facilities, inspection and sampling procedures, aiding vendors in fulfilling company and regulatory requirements and related communication and training. The QuEHS Director will be responsible for co-coordinating and facilitating implementation of the environmental, health and safety procedures for the Company.

- Reports to the President and has support responsibility to all functional directors and managers

Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Bachelors Degree (STEM)
- Masters (Preferred) in Engineering
- Preferred - CQE / CQM, Certified Internal Auditor or RAB Auditor, Statistical Process Control Training
- Understanding of and experience managing Total Quality Systems such as ISO9001
|
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organizations.
- ASQ membership and actively involved preferred
|
- 10 years (or more) of experience in Total Quality position within ISO9000 certified organization and/or 5 years managing a Total Quality System (ISO9000)
- 3-5 years of environmental/safety regulatory experience directing programs in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Demonstrated experience in developing programs and techniques with a working knowledge of state and federal environmental, occupational health and safety regulations
- Solid experience leading a systematic, disciplined, data driven problem solving/process improvement system such as Lean, Six-Sigma, 8D, etc
- Read and interpret documents such as QuEHS regulations, rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
