The Japan Times Online — A blast early Saturday morning rocked Mazda Motor Corp.'s factory in the city of Hiroshima, injuring three workers, the city's fire department reported.

The fire department said it was alerted by a phone call around 1:55 a.m., informing it that three people had sustained injuries in the blast. Of the three, one was hospitalized while the other two sustained only minor burns.
Upon arriving at the scene, firemen found the explosion had occurred during the transportation of molten steel in a cylinder-shaped container measuring 1 meter in diameter and 1.5 meters high. The container accidentally fell over, spilling its contents and causing the blast, the fire department said.
