Wave Rider - free energy

"Wave Rider consists of a special buoy that bobs up and down with wave action on the ocean surface. Electricity is generated via a small turbine powered by an hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic circuit captures the slow rolling energy of the wave and converts it into high-pressure hydraulic fluid flow, spinning a turbine to generate electricity.(...) A Wave Rider "farm" of multiple buoys will produce from 10 to 400 megawatts (MW) to supply a small community, or to directly feed an electric utility grid. The individual buoys, located a few miles off the coast depending on ocean floor bathimetry, allow for optimized wave energy absorption efficiency and can be either directly anchored to the seabed or deployed freely floating. Conventional sub-surface power cables transport the electrical power back to a shore-based sub-station."  » original news (via hugg.com)
