Job Opportunity -Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator/Engineer

Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. , Sturtevant Wisconsin (www.brp.com)

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • In this position, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Day to day EH&S operations
  • EH&S reporting that includes Tier 2, TRI, Hazardous Waste reports, Air Inventory reports, OSHA logs and summaries
  • EH&S trainings required by law and internal standards
  • Assist and counsel managers, safety council members, area coordinators, engineers, leads and employees in a variety of safety and industrial hygiene issues
  • Evaluating the work environment for opportunities to improve ergonomics, machine guarding and comply with any other applicable regulations
  • Conducting/assisting in audits, accident investigations and trend analysis
  • Leading/participating in cross functional teams for EH&S issue resolution and/or new equipment and process approval
  • Maintaining communication with personnel in other divisions and, governmental agencies, trade associations and outside contractors
  • Maintaining OSHA records, complete WC 12 forms (assist) and involvement in case management
  • Ensuring maintenance/compliance of internal EH&S programs (Annual Respirator Fit Testing)

Accountability

  • Review and interpret state and federal regulations to be applied at worksite
  • Responsible for keeping records in order and maintain confidentiality

Interaction

  • With Associates on all levels
  • With vendors, manufacturers, DNR/EPA/OSHA officials, contractors, Workman's Compensation case officials

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four year college degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in EH&S interpreting regulations and applying those interpretations to manufacturing environment
  • Experience in job safety analysis and ergonomic evaluations using NIOSH guidelines
  • Experience in dealing with OSHA's hearing conservation program, lockout/tagout program, respirator program, hazard communication program, etc
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with all levels of the organization
