Fred Brown, one of the brightest minds and most articulate advocates for Michigan's water and other natural resources, passed away last week. As a member of the former Michigan Water Resources Commission in the 1980s and 1990s, Fred brought his brilliance to the job of protecting the state's rivers, lakes and streams. He asked the questions no one else would. He will be missed.
And a tribute from Wayne Schmidt, the longtime staff ecologist at the Michigan United Conservation Clubs- posted By David Dempsey..."Dr. Fred Brown, a great MI conservationist is gone"
