Baptisms amid pollution on Jordan River

In the battle for the river, Christian evangelicals have teamed up with environmentalists to save the Jordan River. They want to get the entire Jordan Valley, including the river, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, hoping that this would force all countries involved to come up with a joint plan to preserve and rehabilitate the area.
