United States: Bush expected to sign bill to protect 273,000 acres of wilderness

San Francisco Chronicle: Congress gave final approval Friday for the biggest new wilderness designation in California in more than a decade when the Senate passed a bill setting aside 273,000 acres of scenic lands from Napa to the Oregon border. The measure had been approved by the House in July and is expected to be signed by President Bush. The bill, sponsored by California's two Democratic senators and Rep.
