Mayor Daley Opens New Permanent Household Chemicals Recycling Facility

In an effort to ensure Chicago's homes are safe and healthy and to protect the City's land and water resources, Mayor Richard M. Daley announced today the opening of the city's only permanent Household Chemicals and Computer Recycling Facility. The $3.8 million 24,000 square foot facility, located at 1150 N. North Branch, will accept computers for recycling and will allow for the safe disposal or recycling of household hazardous chemicals. Source: City of Chicago (VIA glrppr.org).
