Researchers from Colorado State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service have conducted the first of its kind, complete analysis of greenhouse gas emissions from different forms of biofuel production found in the U.S. The results revealed that a variety of bioenergy crops used for biofuels have the potential to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions per unit of energy generated as compared to greenhouse gases emitted from fossil fuels.
