Spring is quickly approaching, and that means that the conference season is about to take off, starting this year with the Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo, to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 10-12. Billed as renewable energy's leading conference, the event, formerly called POWER-GEN Renewable Energy & Fuels, is expected to feature 300 exhibitors, drawing a crowd of about 5,000 renewable energy professionals. Next up is the National Hydrogen Association Conference and Hydrogen Expo, running from March 30-April 3 in Columbia, South Carolina, followed by the Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference + Expo on April 19-22 in Orlando, Florida. And how about springtime in Paris? Energy efficiency experts will be gathering in the City of Lights for discussions about subjects like energy efficient lighting, as EE Global 2009 takes place there on April 27-29.

The largest annual wind energy conference and exhibition in the world is expected to draw more than 13,000 attendees and about 900 exhibitors. After that, shuffle off to Buffalo, New York, to catch SOLAR 2009, the blissfully briefly named solar conference held on May 11-16. In June, the Greening Rooftops for Sustainable Communities Conference, Awards, and Trade Show comes to Atlanta, Georgia, on June 3-5. And it all wraps up in mid-summer, as Plug-In 2009 comes to Long Beach, California, on August 10-13 with the latest news on plug-in hybrid vehicles. The inaugural event, held last year, drew more than 650 attendees and 35 exhibiting companies. Read full from EERE
