Indeed - Change is an inevitable and unstoppable succession.
Dr. Chu has the challenge of using his brilliance to make this change better or for the worse for us all.
So far, we have observed the dim side of his potential to influence 'positive change'
My hope is that with enough academic encouragement and critical information we can influence Dr. Chu's brilliant mind to focus on the problem and not the politics.
We need tangible energy options that can save use from our peak and fiscal crisis. I do see the answers in the years of Mr. Chu's influences and we need him to step up and call out the technology that is 'not ready for prime time' so we can throw everything we have at fixing this mess in our lifetimes.
The short finite timeline and not the perpetual propaganda machine that is spinning his current ideas into unrealistic, unobtainable hoop dreams.
Technology, painted roofs and space lasers will not save us... The utilization of energy options that do not use or influence finite resources will... that is and has been the truth for three decades. Geothermal, fastbreed, synth2waste, solar to H2, sodium solar storage, CH4 reuse and reductions, 50mpg with high carbon use tax.
