Last night the climate debate was in full front on the Colbert Report (gotta love colbert). "Science Catfight - Joe Bastardi vs. Brenda Ekwurzel"
There was no better place for this tragic comedy than Colbert.
My email box was full of left and right supporters pushing for their side of the 'scientific debate'.
These are sometimes brilliant people completely wasting the time, effort and short time on this earth either proving the weather or that we will all die from CO2 poisoning?

If only these people could look past their egos and self interests to join together and focus on the 'root cause' of our problems.
5 simple rules for a better world:
2nd - What comes around goes around (use cradle to cradle)
3rd - Treat others as you want to be treated (4,000 children leave us per hour from lack of clean water and food - who's wearing fur and driving a prius may not be your best activism )
4th - Even if the whole world was made of oil, it would still be a finite resources (if we continue to consume 3 times our planets resources NO food, water or fuel source can sustain us).
5th - When you argue with someone you think is a idiot, two idiots are arguing...
- We have known what the cleanest fuels are for decades…
- We have had 75 mpg vehicles for decades…
- We could run our homes "off grid" for decades…
- We could power most U.S. cities off "free" sources for decades…
So, why have we not to done so… Simple answer - People love to argue, debate and blame but few want to change or an inconvenience to their daily lives.
Global Warming programs are a "trillion" dollar industry & possibly the best political and marketing tool used in our lifetime…. Given that alone, it will be here for at least the next election ;-)
Pollution and "climate change" didn't just sneak up on us... this is the result of 100 years of industrialization we are "reactively" creating a market of "pandemic & fear" for the audiences to invest billions of dollars in.
When just the utilizing the existing "Public Service Announcement" funding could drive every American to conserve, preserve, build and purchase sustainable enough to stop ALL individual increases in "green house" emissions.
The facts are always scarier and the sustainable solutions are always easier... just neither are that popular. The simple alternatives do not drive markets or consumerism.
