Phosphorus law in effect today

Great-Lakes.net A phosphorus ban, signed into law last year by Wis. Gov. Jim Doyle, goes into effect today. It prohibits the use and sale of fertilizers containing phosphorus. A single pound of phosphorus in runoff can cause up to 500 pounds of algae growth. Link
