As part of an effort to improve energy education, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking information to develop an energy literacy framework. The goal of this initiative is to compile a set of national standards for energy literacy, which can then be used to improve understanding of energy, energy sources, generation, use, and conservation. The Department of Energy will host two public meetings in the next two months to gather information for this initiative. The meetings will be of special interest to stakeholders in energy education and are open to the public. Space is limited and participation is available in-person only. For those that cannot participate in person, more information and opportunities to contribute are available through DOE's Energy Literacy wiki.
