Fizzy drinks make teenagers violent - Telegraph

The researchers found that even teenagers who drank just two cans a week were more aggressive towards their friends

Those who drank 14 cans a week were twice as likely to behave violently towards friends, partners or siblings.

And those who drank five or more cans of soft drink a week were also significantly more likely to have drunk alcohol or smoked at least once in the previous month.

Study author Dr Sara Solnick, of the University of Vermont in the United States, said: "We saw that an increase from having one can or less a week to having four cans can increase levels of violence towards peers.

"Drinking more of the soft drinks is leading to more violence. If you drink two cans it can make you more violent.
