On March 14, 2012, The Office of Advocacy submitted a letter commending the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for adopting the recommendations of the external peer review panel for the draft Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) assessment for hexavalent chromium (oral exposure assessment), and for responding to small businesses requests to consider and incorporate forthcoming and recently concluded scientific studies into the assessment.
