Job - Safety Manager
About 1 hour from Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin
WHAT YOU’LL DO -
-Responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating safety standards and processes to enable us to meet regulatory and company compliance requirements and improve workplace safety. Within this position, you will:
-Have direct responsibility for the development and implementation of the health and safety education and compliance programs.
-Be responsible for OSHA metrics, and serve as the front line manager during OSHA investigations.
-Manage the Ergonomics program for the facility.
-Have oversight responsibility for FM LA and Workers Comp, including representing company in Workers Comp litigation and hearings.
-Conduct safety incident investigations and serve on the case management team.
-Manage the contract for Health Services to include a company physician, occupational health nurses and medical assistant.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED -
-Bachelor's DEGREE in a related discipline
-Experience in occupational health and safety COMPLIANCE GUIDELINES
-LEADERSHIP experience in a LARGE MANUFACTURING environment.
-Supervisory experience including budget responsibility.
-Experience in conducting AUDITS, RISK ANALYSIS, and INVESTIGATIONS
-Experience in analyzing factory SAFETY issues and developing and implementing solutions and improvement plans.
-Knowledge of GOVERNMENT REGULATORY AGENCY STANDARDS
-Experience in CASE management and case litigation.A strong candidate will also possess:
-Understanding of Workers Compensation.
-Past work experience in a unionized working environment.
-Knowledge of environmental regulations.
-Experience in ergonomics.
-Ability to establish effective working relationships with all organizational levels from production employees to the Factory Manager.
