Portable digester converts organic materials like day-old club sandwiches, spoiled mayonnaise and sewage into heat and power @forbes

Forbes - Waste is put into one end of the anaerobic digester system. Bacteria consume it and emit a cocktail of digestive gases. The Muckbuster then filters the gas to obtain a methane stream and the methane stream is then run through a combined heat and power unit to provide electricity and heat for buildings or hot water. The whole system fits into a 40-foot shipping container for easy delivery, installation and distribution. As long as you have a continuous waste stream of organic matter, the system will produce a continuous stream of energy. The solids left at the end of the process can be sold as organic fertilizer.
