The Potential Gas Agency, headquartered at the Colorado School of Mines, has issued its latest biennial analysis of national natural gas reserves.
The report quantifies probable, possible and speculative resources for both traditional gas resources and coalbed gas resources, and identifies nearly 2,400 trillion cubic feet of potential resources, together with more than 304 trillion cubic feet of proven reserves. Overall, from 2010 to 2012, the identified potential resources increased by more than 25 percent, and the total, including proven reserves, increased by more than 22 percent.
