In August 2013, EPA revised the document entitled SPCC Guidance for Regional Inspectors (EPA550-B-13-001). The document provides guidance to EPA inspectors, to owners and operators of facilities that may be subject to the requirements of the SPCC Rule (40 CFR Part 112) and to the general public on how EPA intends the SPCC Rule to be implemented. The guidance is designed to facilitate nationally consistent implementation of the SPCC Rule. The document was originally published in 2005, and was revised to include amendments made in December 2006, December 2008, November 2009, and April 2011.

In September 2013, EPA is offering webinar sessions for SPCC stakeholders to provide an overview of the revisions to the SPCC Guidance for Regional Inspectors.
