These recommendations pertain to the 2013 Sunset Review of substances on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List). Based on the NOSB recommendations, AMS published a proposed rule in the Federal Register (78 FR 25879) on May 3, 2013, to address the continued use or prohibition of these substances on the National List in organic production and handling.
