EPA is now accepting abstracts for the 2014 National Training Conference on the Toxics Release Inventory and Environmental Conditions in Communities

EPA is now accepting abstracts for the 2014 National Training Conference on the Toxics Release Inventory and Environmental Conditions in Communities, which will be held May 7-9, 2014, in Arlington, Virginia, at the Hilton Crystal City.  Submissions will be accepted through December 13, 2013, and should promote outreach, learning, and networking among federal, state, and local government agencies, academics, industry, community groups, and other professionals' interest in TRI.

The event, which will be co-sponsored by EPA and Dillard University's Deep South Center for Environmental Justice, serves as the main public outreach and training event for EPA's flagship community right-to-know regulatory program - the Toxics Release Inventory.  The conference augments existing online training provided throughout the year and fosters the exchange of information between US EPA, federal, state, and local agencies, tribes, industry, community groups, researchers, and non-governmental organizations.  It is also a great opportunity to present research, share knowledge, and interact with attendees.
